AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas coach Mack Brown dismissed suggestions he may be ready to retire, saying he's still got energy and the backing of the school and its big boosters.

Brown said Monday that several prominent boosters called to tell him to keep his head up and keep fighting after a 63-21 loss to Oklahoma on Saturday. He did not identify who called him.

Brown, who is 17-14 over the last three seasons, says he's determined to fix what is wrong with the current team and still believes the Longhorns can win 10 games.

Brown is 61 and under contract until 2020. At more than $5 million per year, he is one of the highest-paid coaches in the country.
