AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The Auburn Tigers are two years removed from a national title and in the midst of a potentially disastrous season.

The 2010 national champions are off to one of the program's worst starts in 60 years with just a single win in six games and an 0-4 Southeastern Conference record.

Even former Auburn coach Pat Dye said he doesn't think this team will win an SEC game. Auburn plays at favored Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Embattled coach Gene Chizik said Tuesday that paying attention to the critics ``would suck the energy and the life out of me.'' He says he's focused on trying to keep his players and coaches working toward improvement.

Auburn hasn't started 1-5 since 1998. The Tigers haven't lost six of their first seven since 1952.
