SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o says the game Saturday against Wake Forest is one of the primary reasons he came back for his senior season.
Te'o says after seeing how much senior day meant to his teammates and their parents last season, he decided he had to return to Notre Dame so he and his parents could experience that same joy.
Te'o said he expects his parents, his siblings and more than 30 other family members to attend the game and to celebrate his career. But coach Brian Kelly is reminding Te'o and the Fighting Irish (10-0) they still have more to achieve, including trying to finish the season undefeated and to trying win the school's first national championship since 1988.
