FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) - The Patriots keep winning even when their NFL-leading offense falters.

New England gained a season-low 321 yards in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Miami Dolphins that extended its winning streak to six games and clinched the AFC East title.

But the offense was outstanding during a crucial fourth-quarter series when it held the ball for seven minutes, 18 seconds. That ended in a field goal that gave the Patriots a 23-13 lead and made it a two-possession game with 1:10 left.

The NFL's highest scoring offense received plenty of help from the defense. It allowed just 277 yards, its second stingiest showing of the season. And special teams continued their solid play.

The Patriots (9-3) are home next Monday night against the Houston Texans (11-1).
