ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) - Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson hurt his right leg in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams and his status for the rest of the season is uncertain.

Coach Chan Gailey said he's hasn't yet talked to trainers, but described the injury as not looking good following a 15-12 defeat to the Rams.

Jackson was hurt with 5:26 remaining, when two Rams defenders sandwiched the player's leg while making a tackle.

Jackson was unable to put much weight on his leg, while being helped off the field. He was then driven off in a cart while fans chanted ``Freddie!''

Jackson missed two games earlier this season with a sprained right knee.

Rams safety Craig Dahl didn't return after sustaining a concussion. Starting left tackle Rodger Saffold couldn't finish because of a back injury.
