NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the New England Patriots by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses): --- NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (3) Chris Berman (ESPN, 2) - Only befitting a rare December loss by Brady was to boyhood team. Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 2) - No question about their offense, but defense still has some issues. Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 4) Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 3) - Brady's still incredible, but don't know if I trust that defense. Bob Glauber (Newsday, 4) - Amazing comeback in the second half, but no moral victories for Bill Belichick. Suddenly, the Patriots are at risk of losing a first-round bye. Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 5) - QB Tom Brady has now lost more home games this season (two) than in his previous three seasons combined (one). Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 5) - Here's what should concern you about your team, New England fans: While it's 9-1 vs. the AFC, it's 1-3 vs. the NFC West. Honest. Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 4) - If Tom Brady went against his own DBs every week, he'd throw for 6,000 yards. Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 4) - Too many turnovers to overcome against San Francisco even for Tom Brady. The Patriots and Niners may meet again. John Lynch (Fox Sports, 2) - The Patriots made a valiant Tom Brady-led comeback, but it was the 49er's that made a real statement playing physical football resulting in a big-time win at Foxborough. The Pats need Gronk back on offense. Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 3) - San Francisco exposed that the Patriots still have significant issues with their pass defense. Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 4) - Even in defeat they earned respect because of their incredible ability to come back when trailing. --- Online: http://pro32.ap.org/poll and http://twitter.com/AP-NFL
