NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the New Orleans Saints by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (17)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 17) - Out of it, but angry, and it shows.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 17) - It's too late, but defense is getting Steve Spagnuolo's message.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 17)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 16) - 6-8, it is what it is, if they were better on defense that record may have been 8-6.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 15) - Just about a perfect game by the Saints in a 41-0 smackdown of Tampa, their first shutout since '95. Makes you wonder what their season would look like had they played this way from the start.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 18) - The Super Bowl is in New Orleans in February. But at 6-8, the Saints are already out of the playoff picture. This marks the 47th consecutive season that the host team will not play a Super Bowl on its home field.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 16) - That hammering of Tampa Bay was just a reminder to Dallas that maybe, just maybe, Cowboys' fans should be worried about this weekend's game.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 17) - The Saints took out a season's worth of frustration on the reeling Bucs.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 17) - It has been a lost season for many reasons, but they bounce right back next year.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 17) - The Saints woke up again and thrashed the Bucs 41-0.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 17) - The Saints will almost certainly miss the playoffs, but they could force Dallas into the same fate by besting the Cowboys on the road Sunday.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 19) - The only game that matters to the Saints now is the negotiating game being played with Sean Payton.
