NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the New York Giants by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

NEW YORK GIANTS (15)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 15) - Uneasy is the head that wears the crown.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 15) - Another team that has discovered it's difficult to repeat.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 17)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 16) - As the Giants found out once again, it's not easy to repeat as world champions.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 16) - Haven't seen a team fall off a cliff like this in quite some time. Giants outscored 67-13 in their last two and need a miracle to get into the tournament.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 15) - The wheels have fallen off the Giants bandwagon. Usually strong finishers in branding themselves as a Super Bowl force in recent seasons, the Giants are staggering home with three losses in their last four games to fade from contention.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 16) - Talk about hitting a wall: Once these guys looked like a lock to win the division; now, they look like a lock to miss the playoffs. Never have so many promised so much, yet delivered so little.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 16) - That bewildered look on Tom Coughlin's face says it all.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 16) - A major disappointment! Enough said until 2013.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 15)

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 15) - Head coach Tom Coughlin wasn't kidding when saying his team has "flat-lined." New York enters Week 17 with its playoff hopes on life support following last Sunday's 33-14 loss at Baltimore.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 14) - Sunday against the Ravens was a defining game for the 2012 Giants. As a result of the loss, they likely won't have any more opportunities for defining games.
