NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the Dallas Cowboys by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

DALLAS COWBOYS (14)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 12) - How much can the heart take?

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 13) - Seems like it often comes down to Week 17 for Tony Romo.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 16)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 11) - Romo has been as good as any QB in the league since Week 9, not so sure about that defense though.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 13) - Tony Romo does his part on offense, but Cowboy's D can't contain Drew Brees. Now it's a winner-take-all deal against the Redskins. Cowboys hope they respond better than they did the last time they were in this exact predicament last year against the Giants.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 14) - The Cowboys are without five defensive starters and playing like it. They have allowed an average of 30 points per game since Thanksgiving with Robert Griffin III, Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees all lighting them up for 300-yard passing games.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 13) - Tony Romo was right. If these guys are within 10-14 points of opponents entering the fourth quarter they'll come back ... and they just proved it.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 15) - One of these decades, the Cowboys will fix that leaky secondary.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 14) - A road trip to Washington will decide their fate. There's a lot to like about the Cowboys, but they just couldn't close out the Saints this week.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 14)

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 14) - No NFL franchise says average like the Cowboys. Including the playoffs, Dallas is now 41-40 since Week 17 of the 2007 season following last Sunday's loss to New Orleans.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 18) - Their season up to this point has been defined by meltdowns, the latest of which happened Sunday against the Saints.
