NEW YORK (AP) - Comments on the St. Louis Rams by the AP Pro32 panel (ranking in parentheses):

---

ST. LOUIS RAMS (18)

Chris Berman (ESPN, 20) - Took until Week 17 to lose a division game.

Clifton Brown (Sporting News, 15) - Jeff Fisher made a huge difference. Could be a playoff team in 2013.

Cris Collinsworth (NBC Sports, 19)

Rich Gannon (CBS Sports/SiriusXM NFL Radio, 20) - Progress in year one under Jeff Fisher.

Bob Glauber (Newsday, 19) - Plenty of optimism after a much-improved season under first-year head coach Jeff Fisher. Another step forward in 2013, and Sam Bradford gets to the playoffs.

Rick Gosselin (Dallas Morning News, 17) - The Rams finished the season as the NFL's most penalized team with 130 for 978 yards. Coach Jeff Fisher needs to clean that up for St. Louis to compete for a playoff spot in 2013.

Clark Judge (CBSSports.com, 17) - Look out for the Rams for many years to come. Jeff Fisher did a terrific job establishing a base from which the Rams should launch a playoff bid in 2013.

Ira Kaufman (Tampa Tribune, 18) - Made some strides within the division in Jeff Fisher's first season.

Pat Kirwan (SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com, 17) - A very impressive first season for Jeff Fisher as he turns this franchise around. The key elements of a solid team are in place.

John Lynch (Fox Sports, 19) - The Rams have a long way to go, but Jeff Fisher's first year gives you confidence that it can happen in St. Louis.

Alex Marvez (Foxsports.com, 18) - If the Rams can add some offensive talent in the offseason, this has the makings of a playoff team in 2013.

Dan Pompei (Chicago Tribune, 17) - It will be a surprise if this team doesn't finish next season's power rankings quite a bit higher than 17th.
