CLEVELAND (AP) - An electric utility has bought the naming rights to Cleveland Browns Stadium, which will be known as FirstEnergy Stadium.

The deal was announced Tuesday afternoon by team owner Jimmy Haslam and the Akron-based FirstEnergy Corp. Financial terms of the long-term deal weren't disclosed.

FirstEnergy President and CEO Tony Alexander says the deal will help it attract customers in its home base of northeast Ohio.

Former Browns owner Randy Lerner declined to sell naming rights to the stadium, which opened in 1999 when the team was reintroduced as an expansion franchise. Haslam bought the Browns from Lerner for around $1 billion last October.

On other stadium issues, Haslam says all options are open in terms of installing a dome or artificial turf. He ruled out changing the traditional orange helmets.
