JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars have released safety Dawan Landry and cornerback Aaron Ross, veterans whose play failed to match their pay.

The moves are the latest in the team's youth movement under new general manager Dave Caldwell and head coach Gus Bradley. The team previously released right tackle Guy Whimper and told veteran cornerback Rashean Mathis he would not be re-signed.

Landry started 32 games the last two seasons after signing a five-year, $27.5 million contract in 2011. The deal included $10.5 million guaranteed.

Ross played in 14 games for the Jaguars in 2012. He signed a three-year contract worth up to $15.3 million last March.

Without Ross and Mathis, and with fellow cornerback Derek Cox uncertain to return, the Jaguars likely will address the position in free agency.
