Charlotte looks to stay unbeaten while Miami has a chance for a fifth straight win when these schools meet up on Friday night.

The Hurricanes will be its first opponent from a major conference. Charlotte has played a weak schedule so far, succeeding by smothering its opponents on the defensive end. The 49ers are allowing opponents to shoot just 36% FG. They’re deep, but offensively they don’t have a lot of explosiveness, relying on sixth man PF Chris Braswell (14.3 PPG, 7.0 RPG) while SG Terrence Williams (9.7 PPG) struggles through a prolonged shooting slump (36.6% FG, 1-for-17 threes). Their only other player averaging double-digits is SG DeMario Mayfield (10.0 PPG), who also comes off the bench.
