GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS (29-46)

at DALLAS MAVERICKS (45-30)

Tip-off: Saturday, 8:30 p.m. ET
Line: N/A, Total: N/A

The Warriors go for their 12th straight victory when they face the Mavericks in Dallas Saturday.

The Warriors hosted the Suns on Thursday and came away with a 107-106 victory as 12.5-point favorites. Golden State has now won 11 straight games SU, covering in nine of those games. The team has also scored 100+ points in every game since Mar. 9. The Mavericks, meanwhile, lost 108-101 as 2.5-point home favorites against the Rockets on Thursday. The team has now lost both SU and ATS in three of its past four games and is allowing a miserable 114.3 PPG over the past three contests. The Warriors have now won six straight games against the Mavericks in this head-to-head series, covering in the past five meetings. Two of those win-and-covers were in Dallas as well. The Warriors are 38-20-3 ATS after a SU win this season and an impressive 30-13-2 ATS when facing Western Conference opponents this season. They are, however, just 13-12-1 ATS when coming off of an ATS loss. Dallas is a lousy 13-24-3 ATS when coming off of an ATS loss as well. PF Draymond Green (Shin) is questionable for the Warriors and SF Chandler Parsons (Knee) is questionable for the Mavericks.

The Warriors continue to dominate the rest of the league and PG Stephen Curry (23.8 PPG, 7.8 APG, 4.3 RPG, 2.1 SPG) has been on a tear recently. Curry had 28 points, eight boards and five assists in the win over Phoenix and is now averaging 30.2 PPG and 7.0 APG over the past five contests. He is an elite player in every aspect and his outside shooting (44% 3PT) is extremely dangerous to play against because he takes and makes so many (3.5-8.1 3PM-3PA). He’s averaging 34.0 PPG in three games against Dallas this season and will need to outplay Rajon Rondo on Saturday. SG Klay Thompson (21.7 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 3.0 APG, 1.1 SPG) had 16 points and six assists against the Suns last game. He’s going to need to play very well on defense against Dallas because Monta Ellis will be playing extremely hard going against his former team. The Warriors are likely going to try and get PF Draymond Green (11.8 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 3.6 APG, 1.6 SPG, 1.3 BPG) to play some minutes in this one. Green has not played in three games and will need to get some action before the playoffs start. His defense will be much needed against Nowitzki and the Mavericks. C Andrew Bogut (6.2 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 1.7 BPG) had eight points, nine boards and two blocks against Phoenix. He’ll need to hold his own against Tyson Chandler on Saturday.

The Mavericks lost to the Rockets last game and must quickly turn things around with the Warriors in town Saturday. PG Rajon Rondo (8.9 PPG, 8.0 APG, 5.6 RPG, 1.4 SPG) had just eight points and six assists against Houston. He’ll need to be a lot better against Curry in this game, as he’s been torched by the Warriors’ superstar in recent meetings. SG Monta Ellis (19.2 PPG, 4.2 APG, 1.9 SPG) scored 19 points against the Rockets, but was very off with his shot (7-for-21 FG, 0-for-7 3PT). He is struggling against the Warriors this season, averaging just 14.7 PPG on 31% FG in three meetings with his former team. He’ll need to start making some of his shots because he hurts the team when he is just constantly throwing up bricks. PF Dirk Nowizki (17.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG) had 21 points and seven boards against Houston on Thursday. Nowitzki could have a major mismatch in this game if Draymond Green were to sit out. Even if Green plays though, the big man will need to be productive offensively in this one. C Tyson Chandler (10.0 PPG, 11.3 RPG, 1.2 BPG) will need to be very active in this one. He’s played well against the Warriors this season, averaging 13.7 PPG and 11.3 RPG in three meetings with the team. He’ll need to battle for rebounds with Andrew Bogut and the outcome of that could determine who wins this game. SF Chandler Parsons (15.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.0 SPG) hurt his knee against the Rockets. He had 24 points in his only meeting with Golden State this season and would be a big loss if he didn’t play Saturday.
