PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (4-3)
at NEW YORK GIANTS (4-3)

MetLife Stadium – East Rutherford, NJ
Kickoff: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET
Line: New York -2.0, Total: 42.5

The Eagles face the Giants in a big divisional matchup in New Jersey on Sunday.

Both the Eagles and the Giants have some work to do in the NFC East, as the Cowboys are 6-1 and now get to face the Browns this week. With that being said, this is going to be a gigantic game between Philadelphia and New York. The Eagles are struggling coming into this one, as they have lost three of their past four games both SU and ATS. They went into Dallas as five-point underdogs last week and lost 29-23, and they will need to regroup and come away with a win on Sunday. They are, however, facing a Giants team that won-and-covered in two straight games before resting up in their bye week. New York’s rushing defense was great in those wins, as the team allowed less than 100 yards in each of those contests. Philadelphia won’t be concerned about that, though, as the team has dominated New York in recent years. Over the past three seasons, the Eagles are 4-0 both SU and ATS when facing the Giants and that includes two games in New Jersey. Philly is also facing a Giants team that has historically struggled in November, going 33-60 ATS in the month since 1992.

The Eagles could really use a victory on Sunday, but that is not going to come easy. The Giants are playing some good football right now and Philadelphia will need to play a good game in order to steal a road win this weekend. If the team is going to earn a victory against the Giants then QB Carson Wentz (1,526 yards, 9 TD, 3 INT) is going to need to be on his game. Wentz threw for 202 yards with a touchdown and no picks against the Cowboys last week, but his play wasn’t enough to get his team the victory. Philly has been conservative with its quarterback in recent weeks, and the team needs to unleash him in this one. One guy to keep an eye on in the passing game is WR Dorial Green-Beckham (18 rec, 194 yards, 1 TD). Green-Beckham is not the top target in this offense, but he has been emerging in recent weeks. He had five catches for 55 yards against the Cowboys and this Philadelphia team is desperate for a receiver to breakout. That could be him in this one, as the Giants are weakest against the pass. Defensively, the Eagles secondary must find a way to stop Beckham Jr. New York is weak in the running game, so Philadelphia could really limit this offense if the team can contain the Giants’ superstar wideout.

The Giants have won two straight games and their defense has played very well. As previously mentioned, teams are struggling to run against New York and it’d be big if they can take away the rush on Sunday. If the Giants can put all of the pressure on Carson Wentz in this game then that would be a good thing for the team, as the rookie has been pressing recently. Offensively, QB Eli Manning (1,984 yards, 8 TD, 6 INT) will need to have a big game in this one. The Giants have had some issues running the ball as well, so they need a big performance from their veteran quarterback. It shouldn’t be hard for him, as the Eagles don’t really have anybody that is capable of really shutting down WR Odell Beckham Jr. (40 rec, 630 yards, 3 TD). In four games against the Eagles in his career, Beckham Jr. is averaging 6.5 receptions per game for 82.0 yards per game. He also has a total of two touchdowns in those contests. Expect an even bigger performance in this one, as he is healthy and coming off of a poor week. It’s tough to keep him bottled up two games in a row.
