Eddie Alvarez is the current UFC Lightweight Champion, having defeated Rafael dos Anjos in July to claim the division’s belt. Overall, the 32-year-old fighter has won three straight bouts, and has never lost consecutive fights in his career. He will face perhaps the most difficult test of his career against Conor McGregor, the current UFC Featherweight Champion. The Irishman is coming off of an impressive revenge victory over Nate Diaz, and will be full of confidence heading into this matchup.

McGregor has yet to record a submission attempt in his MMA career.
