UFC Fight Night 208: Holm vs. de Randamie

Saturday, February 11th
Brooklyn, New York

Holly Holm (10-2-0) vs. Germaine de Randamie (6-3-0)

Five Round Women’s Featherweight Title Fight
Line: Holm -120, de Randamie -110

Holly Holm takes on Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship at UFC Fight Night 208.

Holly Holm, former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, will look to become the first female to win titles in multiple divisions in the history of the UFC. She started her career with ten straight wins, including a stunning victory over Ronda Rousey, but has since lost two straight bouts. She will look to bounce back against Germaine de Randamie, who, despite her understated career record, is a feared fighter and has won two straight.

Holm lands 3.08 significant strikes per minute and has an accuracy of 32.75 percent. She absorbs 2.49 significant strikes per minute, and has a defense rate of 63.03 percent. The 35-year-old New Mexico native averages relatively low 0.36 takedown attempts per minute, though she has done so at an 100 percent clip. Holm successfully defends takedowns at a 77.27 percent rate, and has yet to record a submission attempt in her MMA career.

De Randamie connects on 3.19 significant strikes per minute at a rate of 44.73 percent. She absorbs 1.87 such strikes per minute, and has a solid defense rate of 71.78 percent. This will come in handy against a fighter like Holm. This is likely to be a brawl, as the 32-year-old Netherlands native has yet to attempt a takedown in her MMA career. She defends takedowns at an 82.14 percent clip, and averages 0.31 submission attempts per 15 minutes. That likely won’t be necessary against Holm, though.
